How to Get to Deçan#
Deçan is best reached by road from Pristina or nearby Pejë (Peć). Pristina Airport (PRN) is the main gateway; from there take a bus/minibus or taxi via Pejë to reach Deçan.
Pristina International Airport Adem Jashari (PRN): PRN is the closest international airport to Deçan (Deçan/Dečani). From Pristina you can take a taxi to Deçan (about €35-55, roughly 1.5-2 hours depending on route) or use intercity bus services via Pejë/Peć.
Podgorica Airport (TGD) / Tirana (TIA): Some travelers use regional airports in Montenegro or Albania and travel overland into western Kosovo; these options involve longer road transfers (several hours) and cross-border formalities.
Train: Kosovo does not have widely used passenger rail links for this route; buses are the practical option.
Bus / Minibus: Regular minibuses and buses run between Pejë/Peć, Prizren and Pristina; Deçan is served from Pejë with short onward connections. From Pejë to Deçan fares are low (typically €1-3) and the trip is short (15-30 minutes); from Pristina expect 1.5-2 hours and fares around €3-6.
