Domestic flights from Reykjavik/KEF land at AEY; from Akureyri the town of Dalvík is about a 35-45 minute drive north along Route 82/85. Keflavík International Airport (KEF) / Reykjavík (Domestic connections): From KEF you can fly to Akureyri or drive - driving takes around 4.5-5.5 hours depending on route and conditions. Domestic flights to AEY are the fastest international-to-local option.
