Curtea de Argeș Monastery

Curtea de Argeș Monastery is a Romanian Orthodox monastic complex in the town of Curtea de Argeș, Argeș County, known for its historic cathedral church founded in the early 16th century under Voivode Neagoe Basarab. The complex is an important example of medieval Romanian church architecture with distinctive decorative stonework and internal fresco cycles.

The principal church contains ornamental stone and brick details, domes and a richly decorated interior used for liturgy and pilgrimage. The site also includes later additions and restorations that reflect changing artistic influences over the centuries.
