Cornwall Park, Auckland

Cornwall Park is a large inner-city parkland in Auckland centered on the volcanic cone Maungakiekie, commonly called One Tree Hill. The park was created on land gifted by Sir John Logan Campbell and combines formal gardens, open lawns and recreational facilities.

Park visitors use a network of walking tracks, picnic areas, sports fields and landscaped gardens; the site is also noted for its sheep-grazed lawns and heritage plantings. The summit of Maungakiekie features an obelisk and visible Māori earthworks and is a principal destination within the park.
