Pulau Serangoon, commonly called Coney Island, is a small island off the northeastern coast of Singapore managed as a nature park. It was opened to the public as a managed park and is intended to conserve coastal habitats while providing walking and cycling routes.
The island features littoral forest, mangroves, sea-facing sandy edges and open grassy plains with a network of simple trails for walking and cycling. Facilities are basic compared with urban parks, and the island is visited for short recreational trips, birdwatching and coastal scenery.
The island’s recent development as a nature park focused on low-impact access and habitat protection rather than intensive recreation infrastructure. Visitor arrival is via a pedestrian link from the Punggol mainland and parking and public-transport connections are on the Punggol side.
Pulau Serangoon sits off Singapore’s northeastern coast between the Punggol mainland and offshore islets, with the main access point at Punggol Point.
