The Condé Museum (Musée Condé) is the principal art collection housed within the Château de Chantilly in northern France. The museum is internationally known for its illuminated manuscripts and a large collection of Old Master paintings.
Illuminated medieval and Renaissance manuscripts and an extensive series of paintings displayed in the château’s galleries. The wider estate also includes the château’s historic gardens and the Grandes Écuries (Great Stables), which are often part of a visitor itinerary.
The collection was assembled and then bequeathed to the Institut de France in the late 19th century under terms that preserve the château and its contents; the site has been managed since to maintain those holdings and the historic building.
The museum and château are located in Chantilly in the Oise department north of Paris, set within a parkland estate that attracts visitors from the Paris region and beyond.

How to Get to Condé Museum #
The Musée Condé is in the Château de Chantilly (town of Chantilly, Oise). From Paris take regional trains from Gare du Nord (Transilien/TER services toward Chantilly-Gouvieux); the train ride is short (about 25-30 minutes) and from Chantilly-Gouvieux station the château is a short taxi ride or about a 20-35 minute walk (~2-3 km) depending on route. By car approach Chantilly from Paris via the A1 motorway and follow local signs to the château.

- Reserve timed tickets for the Château and Musée Condé in advance, especially on weekends and during high season, to avoid sold-out time slots.
