Collados del Asón Natural Park is a protected area in Cantabria, Spain, that conserves a karst and limestone mountain landscape in the upper Asón valley. The park is recognised for steep cliffs, limestone pavements and open high meadows that contrast with wooded valleys.

Trails and footpaths cross limestone plateaus and glacially influenced hollows, and there are notable viewpoints over the Asón gorge and surrounding peaks. The area is used for hiking, nature observation and low-intensity pastoral activities on the upland meadows.

The park was designated to protect the distinctive karst geomorphology, water courses and mountain habitats and to maintain traditional grazing on the uplands. Management emphasises habitat conservation and access for recreational walking.

Geographically the natural park sits in eastern Cantabria in the upper reaches of the Asón river basin, occupying steep valleys and upland limestone plateaus above nearby lowland settlements.

Collados del Asón Natural Park is accessible by regional roads from the Cantabrian towns of Ramales de la Victoria and Ramales-Asón area. The nearest larger city is Santander (about 60-80 km west); local rural roads lead to trailheads. Car or taxi from nearby towns is the most practical option.

• Wear sturdy shoes for limestone trail sections; parts of the park are karst terrain with brittle rock.
• Start early for the Cueva del San Benito viewpoint to avoid haze and to catch better light for photographing the Ason valley.
• Bring a topo map or GPS-some trails are not well-signed and mobile reception is patchy.
