How to Get to Cochem
Cochem is well connected by rail along the Moselle valley - the Cochem (Mosel) station on the Koblenz-Trier line is the key access point. Frankfurt and Cologne airports offer straightforward train connections with one or two changes.
Frankfurt Airport (FRA): Frankfurt is a major international gateway for Cochem; from FRA you can take a direct ICE/IC train to Koblenz and then a regional train to Cochem. Total rail journey time from Frankfurt Airport to Cochem is commonly about 1.5-2.5 hours depending on connections; expect combined fares roughly €25-€60 for regional/long-distance combinations.
Köln/Bonn (CGN) / Luxembourg (LUX): Both airports are alternatives; from Cologne/Bonn you can reach Cochem by train via Koblenz in about 2-2.5 hours. Prices vary by carrier and train type.
