Developed in the early 2000s as the presidential library for William J. Clinton, the center consolidated archival materials, museum exhibits and foundation activities on a purpose-built riverfront site. Since opening in 2004 it has hosted rotating exhibitions and public events connected to the foundation and the library’s collections.
The center is located on the south bank of the Arkansas River in downtown Little Rock, within the city’s riverfront redevelopment area and close to the River Market district and central Little Rock amenities.
