How to Get to Chinoz
Chinoz is a town in Tashkent Region north of Tashkent city. The easiest international access is via Tashkent International Airport (TAS), then onward by regional train, marshrutka or taxi into Chinoz.
Tashkent International Airport (TAS / HYV): Tashkent is the main international gateway for the Tashkent Region. From Tashkent airport you can reach Chinoz by taxi or intercity marshrutka (shared minibus). A taxi to Chinoz typically takes 40-70 minutes depending on traffic and costs roughly 80,000-150,000 UZS; marshrutkas from the city cost much less but require an initial transfer into central Tashkent.
Nukus / Other regional airports: There are no regular direct flights to Chinoz; regional airports are not practical for reaching Chinoz - Tashkent is the reliable international entry point.
Train: Chinoz is served by Uzbekistan’s regional rail network; the local station (Chinoz) is on suburban routes north of Tashkent. Suburban elektrichka and slower regional trains connect Chinoz with Tashkent and neighbouring towns; journey times from Tashkent are typically under 90 minutes depending on service. Fares for suburban trains are low (a few thousand UZS).
Bus / Marshrutka: Marshrutkas and intercity buses run between Tashkent and settlements in Tashkent Region; shared minibuses from Tashkent’s bus terminals to Chinoz are common and inexpensive (a few thousand to ~20,000 UZS) with travel times of about 45-90 minutes depending on route and traffic.
How to Get Around Chinoz #
Chinoz is a small regional town where most places are reachable on foot or by a short moto-ride. Local shared minibuses (marshrutkas) and taxis connect Chinoz with larger towns and Tashkent; motorcycle taxis and private cars are common for quick local trips. Transport is generally inexpensive; marshrutkas and shared taxis are the cheapest way to get around. Tip: ask at your accommodation for marshrutka routes and departure points, and carry small change for fares.
