How to Get to Chishui#
Chishui (赤水) in Guizhou province is reachable by high-speed and conventional rail and by road from regional airports such as Guiyang. Trains are the practical option for comfort and speed to major hubs; coaches serve local connections where rail doesn’t stop.
Guiyang Longdongbao International Airport (KWE): Guiyang is the nearest major international airport serving Guizhou province. Road transfer from Guiyang to Chishui typically takes around 2-3 hours by car or coach depending on traffic; express coaches run between Guiyang and nearby cities.
Smaller regional airports (Zunyi area): Zunyi has regional airport options closer to Chishui; regional flights reduce road time but are fewer and subject to seasonal schedules.
Train: Chishui is served by regular conventional and high-speed trains on regional lines; Chishui Railway Station (赤水站) links to larger hubs such as Guiyang and Zunyi. High-speed journeys to nearby major cities typically take 1-3 hours depending on origin; ticket classes and prices vary (second-class seats are the cheapest).
Long-distance bus / coach: Intercity coaches connect Chishui with Guiyang, Zunyi and surrounding towns; coach travel can be slower than high-speed rail but runs to more local stations and may be cheaper for short-notice travel.
How to Get Around Chishui#
Rail is the most efficient way to reach and move between regional centres around Chishui; coaches fill gaps to smaller villages. For short stays, combine high-speed trains with taxis for last-mile convenience.
