How to Get to Chimgan#
Chimgan (Chimgan Mountains) is accessed by road from Tashkent - fly into Tashkent International Airport (TAS) and continue by taxi or shared minibus into the mountains. The road journey takes under two hours in good conditions.
Tashkent International Airport (TAS): Tashkent is the main gateway for visitors heading to the Chimgan mountain area. From Tashkent you can hire a taxi or take a shared minibus (marshrutka) toward Beldersay/Chimgan; road travel time is roughly 1.5-2 hours depending on traffic and mountain road conditions. Nukus / regional airports: There are no major international airports closer to Chimgan than Tashkent; visitors almost always arrive via Tashkent and continue by road.
Train: There’s no direct passenger rail service to the Chimgan mountains - rail travel in Uzbekistan centers on city‑to‑city routes (e.g., Tashkent).
Bus / Marshrutka: Shared minibuses (marshrutkas) and occasional minibuses leave Tashkent for Chimgan/Tuyabuguz from roadside departure points; journeys take around 1.5-2 hours.
