Château d'Yquem

Château d’Yquem is a wine estate in the Sauternes appellation of Gironde, Nouvelle-Aquitaine, France, noted for producing a Premier Cru Supérieur sweet wine in the 1855 classification. It is one of the most widely recognized names in Sauternes and Bordeaux sweet wines.

The property is known for its botrytized sweet wines and for cellar tastings and wine tourism; tour options typically include tastings of aged vintages and visits to cellars and the winery. The estate sits within the Sauternes vineyards and is reachable from Bordeaux by road in roughly 30-40 minutes depending on traffic.
