Château de Chantilly

Château de Chantilly is a historic château and estate in Chantilly, north of Paris, France, famous for its art collection (Musée Condé), 18th-century Great Stables and formal gardens. The site combines a major private art collection with equestrian heritage and extensively landscaped grounds.

The present château and estate were rebuilt and restored in the 19th century by Henri d’Orléans, Duc d’Aumale, who assembled the museum collections; the site preserves 18th- and 19th-century architecture, interiors and landscape designs developed over centuries.

The estate lies in the town of Chantilly in the Oise department of Hauts-de-France, roughly north of Paris and reachable by regional rail and road services from the Paris area.
