How to Get to Chaohu
Chaohu is reached most conveniently via Hefei - fly into Hefei Xinqiao or take high‑speed rail to Hefei and transfer by road. Regional buses and taxis/Didi complete the last leg into Chaohu.
Hefei Xinqiao International (HFE): The nearest major airport to Chaohu (about 60-80 km depending on route). From HFE you can take a taxi or Didi directly to Chaohu (journeys typically 60-90 minutes; fares commonly RMB 150-350 depending on vehicle and traffic). There are also airport buses that serve Hefei city; from Hefei you can transfer by road or rail toward Chaohu.
Nanjing Lukou (NKG) / Shanghai airports: For international visitors, Nanjing or Shanghai airports are alternatives combined with high‑speed rail or long‑distance coach to Hefei or Chaohu, but these add significant travel time (several hours).
