How to Get to Changji
Changji in Xinjiang is typically reached via Urumqi (URC) with onward travel by rail or intercity bus to Changji city. The regional rail link and coach services make the trip straightforward and inexpensive.
Urumqi Diwopu International Airport (URC): Changji (Xinjiang) is served via Urumqi (URC), the region’s main international airport. From URC to Urumqi city centre is about 20-40 minutes by taxi (≈CNY60-120). From Urumqi there are frequent road and rail connections west to Changji.
Ürümqi is the main hub: Most international or long-distance domestic air travellers connect through URC before using land transport to reach Changji.
Train: Changji is on Xinjiang’s rail network; trains run between Urumqi and Changji frequently.
