Central Karakoram National Park is a major protected area in Gilgit‑Baltistan, northern Pakistan, established to conserve high‑altitude Karakoram landscapes including extensive glacier systems and alpine ecosystems over an area of roughly 10,000 square kilometres.
The park contains vast glaciated valleys, steep mountain slopes and remote high passes used as bases for mountaineering and long‑distance trekking; the landscape is dominated by rock, ice and permanent snowfields.
