How to Get to Cedar Point #
Cedar Point sits on a Sandusky peninsula on Lake Erie. By car from Cleveland, take I‑90 W (Ohio Turnpike) then follow OH‑2 W/US‑6 toward Sandusky and follow signage to Cedar Point - roughly 60-70 miles and about 1-1.5 hours depending on traffic. The park has on-site parking; follow park signage from OH‑2/US‑6 for the main entrance.
Tips for Visiting Cedar Point #
- Arrive at park opening on weekdays or buy a Fast Lane pass-Cedar Point's marquee coasters (Millennium Force, Steel Vengeance) build long lines quickly, so early entry or a Fast Lane skip dramatically reduces wait times.
- Aim to arrive before opening to secure closer parking; the lots nearest the Main Gate fill early on busy summer days and arriving early also lets you hit popular rides before midday crowds.
- Don't skip the Lake Erie shoreline and boardwalk area-many visitors focus only on coasters and miss the beach views and quieter boardwalk attractions on the north side of the park.
