The arch formed through long-term erosion of Jurassic-age sedimentary rocks typical of the Colorado Plateau; its name references the nearby folklore and outlaw history of the region.
Cassidy Arch sits in Capitol Reef National Park in south-central Utah, reachable from park roads and trailheads in the Fruita area of the park.

How to Get to Cassidy Arch #
Cassidy Arch is located inside Capitol Reef National Park in south‑central Utah. The park is accessed by driving on Utah State Route 24 (SR‑24); the small town of Torrey on SR‑24 is the usual gateway for services and accommodations.
Inside the park follow signed park roads to the Grand Wash/Cassidy Arch trailhead; the arch itself is reached by a maintained trail beginning at the trailhead and requires a hike of a couple of miles (trail length and difficulty vary by route).
