Cape D’Aguilar is a headland on the southeastern tip of Hong Kong Island in the Southern District. It forms part of the D’Aguilar Peninsula and is noted for its rocky shoreline and coastal scenery.

The area is visited for short coastal walks, geological features including sea caves and wave-cut platforms, and marine viewing from shore. Trails lead to cliff-top viewpoints and small bays; conditions can be rugged and exposed.

How to Get to Cape D'Aguilar #

By bus or taxi to Shek O Road/Stanley area; from Shek O or Stanley follow footpaths into Cape D’Aguilar Country Park. The area is accessible from Chai Wan MTR with a bus or taxi onward, then a 30-60 minute walk depending on the route.

Tips for Visiting Cape D'Aguilar #

  • Take the Shek O Road (Cape D'Aguilar Road) from Stanley or Chai Wan - parking is very limited near the country park.
  • Walk the trails to Hok Tsui (D'Aguilar Point) for geological views and small sea caves; avoid cliff edges.
  • Visit at low tide to examine tide pools, but do not remove marine life or disturb habitats.
