Cape Canaveral

Cape Canaveral is a headland on Florida’s Atlantic coast that has been central to the United States’ rocket and space launch activities. The name applies to the cape itself and to the cluster of launch facilities and support installations on the adjacent barrier islands and Merritt Island.
