Byglandsfjorden

Byglandsfjorden is a long freshwater lake in the Setesdal valley of Agder county, southern Norway, forming part of the Otra river system. The lake lies within a rural valley landscape and has long been used for local transport and lakeside settlement.

The lakeshore has small villages, piers and wooden boathouses and is used for fishing, boating and summer recreation. Heritage boat services and seasonal steamer excursions operate on the lake, reflecting its historical role as a transport corridor in the valley.
