How to Get to Byblos
Byblos (Jbeil) is a short coastal drive north of Beirut (BEY) and is commonly reached by taxi or shared minibus along the coastal highway. The town's compact historic core is easy to reach from the main coastal route.
Beirut-Rafic Hariri International (BEY): Beirut is the main airport for Byblos (Jbeil). From BEY you can take a taxi or shared minibus (service) north along the coast; drive time to Byblos is about 40-60 minutes depending on traffic. Prearranged private transfers are common and convenient.
Tripoli (KRF) / Regional options: Tripoli has smaller regional flight and helicopter options in some seasons, but Beirut remains the main international gateway for most visitors to Byblos.
Train: Lebanon has no active national passenger rail service.
Bus / Shared minibus (service): Shared minibuses (service) and CTB buses run along the coastal highway from Beirut to Byblos; journey time ~40-60 minutes depending on traffic and fare is low (typically a few US dollars or local currency equivalent). Taxis are plentiful for door‑to‑door travel.
