Brontë Parsonage Museum

The Brontë Parsonage Museum is the historic home of the Brontë family in Haworth, West Yorkshire, preserved as a museum devoted to the lives and works of Charlotte, Emily and Anne Brontë. The house contains a major collection of manuscripts, letters and personal effects.

Period rooms that recreate the domestic environment of the Brontë family, curated exhibition galleries that display manuscripts and personal items, and interpretive displays about the sisters’ writing and lives. The museum also organizes talks, events and research resources through the Brontë Society.

The house served as the family parsonage for Patrick Brontë and was the primary home of the Brontë siblings during the 19th century when they produced their principal literary works. The property was preserved and opened as a museum to conserve their manuscripts and personal history.
