Brighton Community Stadium

Brighton Community Stadium, commonly called the American Express Stadium or Falmer Stadium, is a purpose-built football stadium in Falmer on the outskirts of Brighton and Hove in England. It opened in 2011 and has an all-seater capacity of about 30,750.

The venue is centred on a single natural-grass playing surface laid to professional dimensions, surrounded by four covered stands that form a continuous bowl and include hospitality suites and corporate facilities. Matchdays feature full spectator facilities, food and retail outlets, and public transport links via the nearby railway station.

The stadium was developed to replace the club’s former home and to provide a modern, larger-capacity venue for Brighton & Hove Albion FC. Since opening in 2011 it has hosted the club’s competitive home fixtures and has been used for non-sporting events and conferences.

Situated in Falmer on the eastern edge of Brighton, the stadium lies a short walk from Falmer railway station and sits between the city of Brighton to the west and the South Downs to the north.
