The crater is reached via secondary forestry roads north of Highway 101/129 corridors in northeastern Ontario. The nearest larger service centres are Kapuskasing and Timmins; from either, expect long stretches of unpaved road and limited signage. A high-clearance vehicle is strongly recommended; in spring and after heavy rain many approaches become boggy or gated for logging. Local outfitting firms and area landowners can provide exact coordinates and access advice.
