Brazos Bend State Park

Brazos Bend State Park is a large state park in southeastern Texas known for its wetlands, lakes, and wildlife viewing opportunities. The park combines day-use trails, lakeside boardwalks, and an on-site public observatory.

Visitors use short trails and boardwalks to view alligators, wading birds, and other wildlife concentrated around the park’s lakes and creeks, with good wildlife viewing from areas such as the Elm Lake and Cattail Marsh. The park sits in Fort Bend County southwest of the Houston metropolitan area, within driving distance of the city and adjacent to floodplain and riverine landscapes.
