Borišov is a mountain peak in the Veľká Fatra range of northern Slovakia, located in the Žilina Region. The summit reaches approximately 1,508 metres above sea level and is known for its open ridges and panoramic viewpoints.
The mountain is a regular hiking destination with marked trails that approach the summit from several valleys and ridge routes. Trails are used year-round by walkers and, in winter conditions, by experienced snow hikers.
Historically the area has been part of traditional mountain land use and modern conservation within the Veľká Fatra range, with mountain huts and waymarked routes supporting recreational access. The summit area is primarily natural alpine and subalpine terrain.
Borišov sits within the interior of the Veľká Fatra mountains and is reachable from nearby mountain villages and access points in the Žilina Region; it forms part of the larger Carpathian mountain system.
