How to Get to Bidbid
Bidbid is reached by road from Muscat International Airport or Muscat city; Oman has no regular domestic passenger rail system. Taxis, rental cars and intercity buses or shared transfers are the standard ways to arrive and travel around.
Muscat International Airport (MCT): Muscat is the main international gateway for central Oman. From Muscat airport you can reach Bidbid by road (approximately 1-1.5 hours depending on traffic) using taxis or rental cars.
Dhofar / Salalah (for southern access): Salalah is a separate international airport farther away and not typically used for Bidbid; Muscat remains the practical arrival point for central/northern Oman.
Train: Oman does not currently have a national passenger rail network in regular operation; there is no train service to Bidbid.
Bus: Public and private bus services (including intercity coaches and shared taxis) connect Muscat with towns across the interior. From Muscat city or the airport you can use intercity buses or book a private taxi to reach Bidbid-travel times vary by route and traffic.
