Bicentennial Park is an urban park within the Sydney Olympic Park precinct at Homebush Bay in New South Wales, created for the Australian Bicentenary in 1988. It forms part of the wider redeveloped Homebush Bay precinct used for the 2000 Olympics.
The park contains constructed wetlands, open lawns, picnic areas, playgrounds and a network of walking and cycling paths that link to other parts of Sydney Olympic Park. Several boardwalks and viewing platforms cross the wetlands and are used for birdwatching and informal recreation.
The site was developed from reclaimed industrial land during the late 20th century as part of the wider transformation of Homebush Bay. Management and maintenance are handled within the Sydney Olympic Park precinct framework.
The park sits inside the Sydney Olympic Park precinct at Homebush Bay, west of Sydney’s central business district and adjacent to other sporting and event venues in the precinct.
