The complex contains multiple exhibition halls, meeting rooms and convention spaces designed for large-scale national and international events. It served as a principal venue for several G20 meetings in 2023 and is organised to host concurrent exhibitions and conference programmes.
The facility was developed as part of a wider upgrade of the Pragati Maidan exhibition precinct and opened in 2023 to replace older exhibition infrastructure. It has since been used for major trade shows, government summits and large conventions.
Sited within the Pragati Maidan exhibition grounds in central New Delhi, it is in an urban, heavily built-up area of the city and is well connected by road and metro to other parts of Delhi.
