The Besòs is a short river in Catalonia that drains a portion of the Barcelona metropolitan area and discharges into the Mediterranean Sea near the boundary between Barcelona and Badalona. It is a small but locally important watercourse for the urban area it traverses.

The mouth and lower course of the Besòs River are easily reached from Barcelona. Take Barcelona Metro L4 to El Maresme | Fòrum station (or Rodalies R1 to Sant Adrià de Besòs) and walk a few minutes to the river/sea-front at the Parc del Fòrum and Sant Adrià area. By car the site is a short drive east from central Barcelona along the C-31/coastal routes (roughly 5-8 km depending on your start point).
