How to Get to Bela-Bela

Bela‑Bela (Warmbaths) is reached mainly by road from Johannesburg or Pretoria; O. R. Tambo and Lanseria are the nearest international airports. Coach services and car travel are the most practical ways to get there-train options are not suitable for this route.

By Air

O. R. Tambo International Airport (JNB): The main international airport for Johannesburg is the usual arrival point for visitors. Driving to Bela‑Bela takes about 1.75-2.5 hours (roughly 150-170 km) depending on traffic; a private transfer or car hire is common. Long-distance bus operators (see below) also run direct services from Johannesburg to Bela‑Bela.
