Barfiliya (Barfiliyya) is the site of a former Palestinian village in Israel’s Central District. It is a historic village site recorded in regional maps and documents.
The location was an agricultural village during the Ottoman and British Mandate periods and was depopulated during the 1948 Arab-Israeli War. Physical remains at many such village sites are limited and often lie within agricultural or private land.
The site has not served as a permanent settlement since 1948 and is treated as a historical locality rather than an active village.
Situated in Israel’s Central District, the site lies in the central coastal plain roughly 25 kilometers west of Jerusalem and within the wider area between Lod and Modi’in.
