How to Get to Ballsh#
Ballsh is typically reached by road from Tirana (via Fier) with regional buses or private transfers the most practical public options. Albania’s rail network is not a reliable alternative for this town.
Tirana Nënë Tereza Airport (TIA): Tirana is the main international airport for Ballsh. From Tirana Airport take a shuttle, bus or taxi to Tirana city (20-30 minutes) and then an intercity bus toward Fier or Berat; onward local buses or taxis serve Ballsh (overall travel around 2.5-4 hours).
Corfu (CFU) / Ioannina (IOA): In some cases travellers use nearby Greek airports (Corfu or Ioannina) and cross by road, but this is indirect and involves border crossings-Tirana is the straightforward international gateway.
Train: Albania’s passenger rail network is very limited and does not reliably serve Ballsh-trains are not a practical option.
