Balboa Park (San Diego)

Balboa Park is a large urban cultural park in San Diego, California, covering roughly 1,200 acres and housing numerous museums, theatres, gardens and the San Diego Zoo. It is a central cultural and recreational hub for the city with a long civic history.

The park’s highlights include more than a dozen museums and institutions, the historic El Prado promenade with extensive Spanish Colonial Revival architecture, formal gardens and the world-famous San Diego Zoo.
