Zaqatala / Zaqatala Airport (small/regional): Zaqatala is the nearest small regional airport to Balakən district; services are limited and seasonal. For most international visitors the main arrival is Baku (Heydar Aliyev International, GYD) followed by a domestic onward journey by road or occasional domestic flights.
