Bà Nà Hills
Resort Hill resort with cable cars and French-style village
Perched above Da Nang, Bà Nà Hills draws day-trippers with its long cable-car system, French-style village, the Golden Bridge held by stone-like hands, a hilltop amusement park and cooler mountain air within the Sun World resort.
Bà Nà Hills is a mountain resort complex in Da Nang City, Vietnam built around a hill-station and theme-park style development. The site combines landscaped gardens, a recreated French-style village, leisure attractions and scenic viewpoints.
Key highlights include the sculptural pedestrian Golden Bridge that opened in 2018, the themed French Village, an indoor amusement area and a cable car that provides panoramic access up to the resort. The setting offers extensive views across forested slopes and toward the coast.
Originally developed as a hill station during the colonial period, the site was later expanded into a commercial resort and tourist complex with recreational facilities and visitor attractions. The modern complex overlays the older hill-station infrastructure with new leisure developments.
The complex sits on a forested mountaintop within the jurisdiction of Da Nang City, inland from the central coastal area. It is reached by road from Da Nang and by the resort cable-car from the base station.
- Golden Bridge opened: Opened to public attention in 2018 and rapidly became notable for its sculptural pedestrian bridge and landscaped mountaintop village.
- Access: Most visitor access is via the cable car from the base area, which delivers guests directly to the resort precincts on the hillside.
What to See #
- Golden Bridge: A prominent pedestrian bridge with a pair of curved, hand-shaped supports holding a walkway; it opened to the public in 2018 and is one of the resort's most photographed features.
- French Village: A compact area styled after a French village that contains colonial-style facades, restaurants and shops arranged around narrow streets and plazas.
- Cable car: A cable car system linking the lower base area to the mountaintop resort, providing panoramic views over the surrounding forested slopes.
- Fantasy Park: An indoor entertainment complex with rides and family attractions located within the resort precincts.
