Athens Concert Hall (Megaron) is a major performing arts complex in central Athens that hosts classical music, opera, dance and conferences. It opened as a purpose-built venue for large and medium-scale concerts and cultural events.
The facility contains multiple performance spaces including a large concert hall and a smaller chamber hall, together with foyers and exhibition areas used for cultural programming. The hall is a regular venue for national orchestras, touring ensembles and international festivals.
The complex was completed and opened in the late 20th century to provide Athens with a modern concert hall; it has since hosted both Greek and international performers and events and undergone maintenance and technical upgrades to support large productions. It functions as one of the city’s principal venues for classical and contemporary performing arts.
Located near the Hilton hotel in central Athens, the concert hall sits a short distance north of Syntagma Square and is served by the Megaro Moussikis metro stop, making it readily accessible from downtown Athens.

How to Get to Athens Concert Hall #
The Athens Concert Hall (Megaron) is adjacent to the Megaro Moussikis metro station on Athens Metro Line 3 - take Line 3 (the blue line) and exit at Megaro Moussikis, then it’s a 2-4 minute walk to the hall. From Syntagma Square it’s about 1-1.5 km (a 10-20 minute walk) and the same metro line also runs direct to the airport.
