The National Gallery (Athens), formally the National Gallery - Alexandros Soutsos Museum, is Greece’s primary state art museum located in Athens. It focuses on modern Greek art alongside a wider range of post‑Byzantine and European works.

Galleries display paintings, sculptures and works on paper spanning modern Greek artists and selected international pieces, together with temporary exhibitions and special displays. Museum spaces are used for rotating shows that cover thematic or monographic presentations in the history of Greek art.

The institution developed from 19th‑ and 20th‑century efforts to collect and present Greek art to the public, growing into the national museum for painting and sculpture. Over time its holdings and exhibition spaces have been expanded and reorganized to accommodate a broad collection and contemporary exhibition program.

Situated in central Athens, the gallery is accessible from major city districts and is part of the capital’s cultural and museum precinct.
