Åsnen is a large freshwater lake in Kronoberg County in southern Sweden, within the historical province of Småland. The lake is notable for its many islands, shallow bays and wetland areas.
Recreation around the lake focuses on boating, canoeing, birdwatching and island-hopping among its archipelago-like clusters of islets. The shoreline and islands contain hiking paths and viewpoints used by visitors seeking nature and wildlife observation.
The lake and its surrounding wetlands have long been used for traditional fishing and small-scale timber activities. In 2018 parts of the lake and adjacent land were designated as Åsnen National Park to conserve habitat and landscape values.
