How to Get to Apatin
Apatin is best reached by bus from larger Serbian cities (Novi Sad, Sombor) or by regional train services to nearby hubs. Long-distance public travel often requires changes; a private transfer from Belgrade is faster though more expensive.
Belgrade Nikola Tesla Airport (BEG): BEG is the main international airport for reaching Apatin. From Belgrade take a combination of train/bus or a long-distance bus toward Sombor/Apadin region; total travel time is around 3.5-5 hours by public transport. Taxis or private transfers from Belgrade to Apatin take about 3-3.5 hours and cost roughly €90-140.
Osijek / Regional airports: Smaller regional airports (Osijek, Hungary’s Szeged or local fields) have limited international service and typically require onward bus or taxi transfers into Serbia; these routes are multi-leg and slower.

Bus: Buses are the most practical public transport to Apatin - intercity buses run from Novi Sad, Subotica and Sombor to Apatin with journey times of about 1-2 hours from Novi Sad/Sombor. Local buses and taxis serve the town and surrounding villages; ticket prices are modest (several hundred dinars depending on distance).
