Antigonia (often called Antigonea) is an archaeological site in Gjirokastër County, southern Albania, consisting of the ruins of a Hellenistic-era settlement. The site features remains of fortification walls, building foundations and associated tombs.
Founded in the Hellenistic period, the settlement formed part of the regional network of towns in Epirus and surrounding districts and was later affected by Roman-era developments and decline. Excavations have documented city walls and necropolis areas that illustrate the site’s urban and funerary organisation.
The ruins occupy a hilltop location near the modern village of Saraqinisht in Gjirokastër County, overlooking local valleys and reachable from the town of Gjirokastër.
