The Anne Frank Zentrum is an educational center and museum in central Berlin focused on Anne Frank’s life, the history of National Socialism, and contemporary topics of discrimination and human rights. It presents exhibitions, workshops and school programs aimed at connecting Anne Frank’s story to present-day issues.

The centre maintains a permanent exhibition and hosts rotating displays and educational activities tailored to different age groups. Its programming emphasizes learning and dialogue rather than a traditional commemorative museum approach.

The facility sits in Berlin’s Mitte district, a short walk from Rosenthaler Platz and Hackescher Markt, and is part of the city’s network of sites that address the history of Jewish life in Berlin and the Nazi period.

• Central location: Located near Rosenthaler Platz and Hackescher Markt in central Berlin, making it easy to combine with broader city sightseeing in the Mitte district.
• Programs and exhibitions: Focuses on educational programs and temporary exhibitions in addition to its permanent display, so program schedules are useful to check before visiting.

Anne Frank Zentrum sits in Mitte near Hackescher Markt. From Alexanderplatz or Friedrichstraße, it is a 10-15 minute walk; S-Bahn/U-Bahn stations nearby include Hackescher Markt (S3/S5/S7) and Oranienburger Straße (U6). Several tram lines and buses stop in the area; cycling is also common in central Berlin.

• Buy tickets online in advance to avoid queues-weekends and school holidays are busiest.
• Start the self-guided exhibition 'Anne Frank: A History for Today' early in the day; small groups and school visits swell mid-afternoon.
• The Zentrum is not the original hiding place-combine with the Anne Frank House in Amsterdam contextually and expect different curatorial approaches.
