Alma is a small coastal village in eastern New Brunswick on the shore of the Bay of Fundy, immediately adjacent to Fundy National Park. The village functions as the principal gateway and service centre for the park.

The harbour and waterfront are focal points, with seafood outlets and boat operators offering short marine tours and whale-watching departures. Trails and backcountry routes from the village link into Fundy National Park, and nearby beaches and exposed mudflats are regularly visited at low tide for walking and birdwatching.

Alma developed as a 19th-century fishing, lumber and shipbuilding community and has remained a small working harbour since then. Over the 20th and 21st centuries the local economy has shifted toward tourism and park services tied to Fundy National Park.
