Al Ain Oasis is a large, palm-tree oasis in the city of Al Ain, Emirate of Abu Dhabi, containing traditional agricultural plots irrigated by an underground water channel system. It is a surviving example of oasis agriculture and settlement in the inland city of Al Ain.
The oasis features long, shaded walkways through palm plantations and a visible falaj irrigation network that distributes groundwater to date palms and gardens. Visitors use the paths to see traditional irrigation and oasis agriculture within the urban setting.
The oasis is historically part of Al Ain’s settlement pattern and remains an active green space in the city. It lies in central Al Ain near other cultural sites and museums, within the inland desert environment of the Emirate of Abu Dhabi.
