Island Remote volcanic island in the Tokara archipelago

How to Get to Akusekijima #
Access is by ferry from larger islands in the Kagoshima chain (ferry schedules are irregular and seasonal). The nearest major transport hubs are Kagoshima City and Amami Oshima-arrange onward local connections from there.
