Airavatesvara Temple is a 12th-century Shaivite temple at Darasuram in Tamil Nadu, India, built during the Chola period around the mid-1100s. It is one of the three monuments grouped as the Great Living Chola Temples.
The complex is noted for finely carved stone reliefs and pillared assembly halls that display characteristic Dravidian architectural detail. The site forms part of a set of three Chola-era temples inscribed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1987.
The temple was commissioned by the Chola king Rajaraja Chola II in the 12th century and served as a major Shaivite shrine. It has undergone conservation work to preserve its carved stonework and structural elements.
