Ainos National Park

Ainos National Park sits on the island of Kefalonia in the Ionian Islands of Greece and protects the forested massif centered on Mount Ainos, the island’s highest point at 1,628 meters. The park is noted for its native Greek fir forest and for scenic highland landscapes.

Hiking to the summit and walking through the fir forest are the main activities; routes lead to viewpoints that look out over the island and the surrounding Ionian Sea. The park contains a network of trails and open ridgelines that are popular with walkers and nature observers.
