The Aibga Ridge is a mountain ridge in Krasnodar Krai in the Western Caucasus near the Sochi/Krasnaya Polyana area, notable for steep slopes and alpine terrain. Sections of the ridge host major winter-sports infrastructure and visitor facilities.
The most frequented parts of the ridge are the developed ski areas and lift corridors that rise to ridge summits at roughly two thousand metres and above, offering downhill runs and panoramic viewpoints. In summer the lifts provide access for hiking and mountain viewpoints.
The ridge saw substantial development in the 2000s to create competition venues and tourist infrastructure for the Rosa Khutor Alpine Center, which hosted alpine skiing events during the 2014 Winter Olympics. Existing trails and lifts have since been used for year-round mountain recreation.
Situated in the Western Caucasus within Krasnodar Krai, the ridge lies inland from the Black Sea near the mountain resort cluster around Krasnaya Polyana and Sochi.
